PGMTV Managing Director Paul Marquess has produced over 1000 hours of network drama in the UK.
PGMTV has recently shot pilots for ITV and E4 and is currently in pre-production for LONDON KILLS. This contemporary crime drama has been commissioned for two 5 x 1 hours series by US SVOD service Acorn TV and will be distributed internationally by ZDFE. Paul Marquess has created the series and written the pilot episode.
As well as inventing international hit ‘Footballers' Wives’, Paul was Executive Producer of ‘The Bill’ and ‘Family Affairs’ - and Head Of Drama at Thames Television. Paul has also Series Produced ‘Brookside’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ for Channel 4 - and story-lined series one of ‘The Indian Doctor’ for the BBC. Paul also served as Story Editor of ‘Coronation Street’ – and produced ‘Picking Up The Pieces’ for Carlton and ITV.
Paul created and Executive Produced ‘Murder Investigation Team’ for ITV. He also co-created and Executive Produced ‘Crime Stories’ for ITV Daytime and five seasons for improvised crime drama ‘Suspects’ for C5. Paul has recently been supervising production of the German and Dutch versions of ‘Suspects’.
